New Jersey Amusement Parks

Guests can purchase passes that provide unlimited access to attractions for a set period of time. They can also purchase food and beverages at the park. The parks can be a great place for families and friends to spend quality time together.

From a ninja obstacle course to augmented reality games, Empire Adventure Park has plenty of exciting activities for you to try! This new amusement park in the mall is a must-see for families.

iPlay America

iPlay America is New Jersey’s largest indoor theme park. Its unique attractions will make you want to come back again and again. Whether you’re looking to test your skills on the world’s best arcade games amusement park in the mall or just want to see how many moles you can whack with a mallet, this state-of-the-art theme park has something for everyone.

The facility is packed with amusement rides, a two-level laser tag arena, go-karts, and an arcade with hundreds of the latest video, skill, and crane games. It even features a system that allows you to swipe your game card to keep track of your tickets and to avoid the hassle of carrying around tons of paper tickets. You can also redeem iTickets for epic prizes.

iPlay America also hosts an array of family events, from chocolate festivals and concerts to WWE wrestler meet-and-greets. Its event center is perfect for hosting birthday parties and corporate events. The facility even has its own in-house catering team.

The park is constantly rolling out new games and rides. In 2019, the attraction that is generating the most excitement is the brand-new Topgolf Swing Suite, which features six simulator bays and food and beverage service. The facility has something for every appetite with a variety of dining options, including Sonny’s Boardwalk Grill and Broadway Sweets, the area’s most popular candy store.

Nickelodeon Universe

Located at American Dream Mall in East Rutherford, NJ, Nickelodeon Universe is the largest indoor theme park of its kind in the Western Hemisphere. The 8-acre theme park is filled with gravity-defying rides and tot-friendly play structures based on your favorite Nickelodeon shows and characters.

Younger kids will love exploring PAW Patrol’s Adventure Bay, where they can look for Marshall and the rest of the brave pups. Thrill-seekers can test their limits on the world’s steepest roller coaster, Shellraiser, which charges the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles to battle Shredder.

The rest of the attractions are sure to please all ages. Go on a ride with Blue’s Monster Truck Rally, race around with Blaze and Magenta at Dora’s Sky Railway or head to space with Commander Hoek and Cadet Stimpy on the Rugrats Reptar Go-Round. And no visit to Nickelodeon would be complete without a spin on the Slime Streak, a slimy family-friendly coaster.

Guests can purchase tickets online or at the Nickelodeon Universe ticket counter, self service kiosks in the Park, or any Mall of America guest services desk. Attraction bundles may not be shared and must be redeemed within three days of first scan. Kids 5 years and younger play for free with a general admission ticket. Tickets are non-refundable. Additional ticket discounts are available during Deal Days.

Sea Life Aquarium

New Jersey’s biggest aquarium opened this week at the American Dream Mall in the Meadowlands, joining Nickelodeon Universe and Big Snow indoor ski slope as the area’s kid-friendly attractions.

The new aquarium is built around a set of winding hallways, with each room on theme and plenty of kids-eye-view exhibits and tanks. There are also some hands-on activities, such as a small touch tank that let my kids pick up sea stars and anemones to learn about rockpool creatures.

Embracing its East Rutherford location, the aquarium has a “City Under the Sea” theme that includes ‘fishified’ New York City landmarks like the Empire ‘Skate’ Building and a Times Square “Whaledorf Astoria” hotel. The main attraction is a 186,000-gallon ocean tank that features sharks circling with the ocean fish who would normally be their prey.

The aquarium is famous for its commitment to ocean conservation and high sourcing standards for the fish it displays. Its educational programs and events are a hit with school groups. Its aquariums also feature Paul, a psychic octopus who correctly predicted Germany’s World Cup results in 2010. There are 53 Sea Life centres worldwide, including locations in England (London, Bristol, Liverpool, Cheltenham), Ireland (Dun Laoghaire and Belfast), Australia (Sydney and Melbourne) and New Zealand (Kelly Tarlton’s Sea Life Auckland). The chain is owned by Merlin Entertainments.

Secret Garden

Taking its name from Frances Hodgson Burnett’s beloved novel, this exhibit offers an escape from Wisconsin’s gloomy winter and early spring. It features paintings, works on Indoor Playground Equipment paper, photographs, and sculptures curated from The Warehouse Art Museum’s nationally recognized collection as well as new pieces that have been created especially for the show.

This kid-friendly exhibition is a wonderland of surprise, serenity, beauty, and fairy tale charm. It’s also a wonderful place to take a breather and enjoy the lush greenery around you. The centerpiece of the garden is a fountain surrounded by mountains of preserved natural moss and statues of gnomes, mushrooms, and rabbits.

Moorestown Mall is more than just shopping. It also houses the largest indoor theme park in North America, Nickelodeon Universe. Imagine heart-racing roller coasters and adorable rides featuring all your favorite Nickelodeon pals. From the adventurous Rugrats to the hilarious Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, to everyone’s favorite sponge, SpongeBob SquarePants. There’s even an NHL sized Ice Rink and a water park. It’s like stepping right into your Saturday morning cartoons!
